Raghav Chadha is an Indian politician and member of the Aam Aadmi Party. He is the youngest Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from Punjab, India. He was the former Vice Chairman of the Delhi Jal Board and MLA from the Rajendra Nagar assembly constituency in Delhi till 2022. Raghav Chadha has been elected as Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha. He is also a practising chartered accountant.
Early life and education
Raghav Chadha was born on 11 November 1988 in Central Delhi, India. He completed his schooling from Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Delhi. He then went on to study economics at the University of Delhi, where he graduated with a first-class degree. After graduating from Delhi University, Chadha went on to study at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he earned a master’s degree in public policy.
Political career
Raghav Chadha joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2013. He was one of the youngest candidates to contest the 2015 Delhi Legislative Assembly election. He won the election from the Rajendra Nagar assembly constituency by a margin of over 25,000 votes. In 2016, Chadha was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Delhi Jal Board. He served in this position for two years. In 2018, Chadha was elected to the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament. He is the youngest MP in the Rajya Sabha.
